Purpose of the role

My client is looking for someone to ensure that the business retention function delivers effectively against objectives through the management of the customer retention programme. You will provide guidance to your team on a daily basis with the ultimate aim of increasing customer engagement and lifetime value and reducing churn. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of work is executed for all retention-based promotions. You will report against objectives on a weekly and monthly basis to key stakeholders.

 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Management and development of a team of executives
  • Analysing and reporting monthly on usage patterns, churn, customer base trends, overall customer retention and promotion projects and initiatives
  • Planning and implementing a full promotional calendar for multiple regions/sports including cross sell to other products
  • Identifying opportunities & implementing tactics to maximise revenue and minimise churn among existing customer bases
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with various teams such as Design and Product to create and launch campaigns
  • The delegation of workload and projects for team members to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Conducting weekly and monthly team meetings and 1-2-1’s with all team members on a regular basis
  • Liaising with other Managers across the business
  • Ensuring deadlines for campaigns are met by all team members to a high standard
  • Content managing the website and ensuring regular site checks with all team members


You will have: 

  • Previous experience of managing or providing guidance to other team members
  • A good understanding of the entire campaign development and delivery process
  • Experience of working with stakeholders at various levels
  • Proven management of retention and or promotional activity
  • A good knowledge of online customer retention strategies and tactics 
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud / Exact Target or a similar platform
  • Working knowledge of Excel and general Microsoft Office 
  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of email service providers
  • Experience of carrying out data analysis on retention and promotional activity making suitable recommendations based on this information
